You'd think Temple would offer an advice sheet with the paint. It's surprising how hard it's been to find this advice anywhere online. Wet sanding/buffing: What series of sandpaper grits before buffing? Just keep adding coats until I run out, only waiting for flash times between coats and therefore no sanding between coats? The finish is pretty good, but it needs to be shinier on the outside. I painted the inside of the hood and the color match looks very good. I bought a few cans of single stage rattle can paint from Temple. I'm about ready to put the color coat on the hood of my pastel green '50. Duplicolor also has a big variety of colors, it drys faster than Rustoleum. the lids on the cans are usually a good indicator of the color.

Or travel to a well stocked hardware store and examine the paints. Can anyone suggest a brand or brands of rattle can paint that can closely match these and other original VW colors? Not looking for 'perfect match' (but that would be nice). I have a few beat up VW scale model (metal) cars that I would like to clean up and repaint to some of my favourite original VW colors: 1966 ruby red sea blue, fontana grey, bahama blue, and java green.
